T-minus 26 days.

Since Nate has chosen to host Deaver’s bachelor party poolside at The Hard Rock, I’ve decided that I don’t want to be the fat kid who keeps his shirt on when swimming.  Unfortunately, 26 days is not enough time to really get into beach shape but I should be able to make a respectable dent in my belly fat.

It’s proven that when you put your goals into writing you are much more likely to achieve them.  In addition, telling other people forces you to be accountable.  I’ve set a goal of losing 8lbs (of fat, not merely water weight) which I plan to achieve by eating an average of 1500 calories a day and working out at least six days a week and striving to squeeze in a second cardio session each day.

I use fitday.com to track my calories and workouts.  Fitday.com allows me to make my “journal” public which is another way I can keep myself accountable.  “Vanity, definitely my favorite sin.”
